We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our very first Ad Lucem Alumna and Young Alumna Awards.

Following nominations from the school community, a shortlisting process in which our Head Girl Team 2020-21 were asked to participate and a final vote by all girls in the Senior School, we are delighted to announce that the winner of the Ad Lucem Alumna Award for 2021 is world renowned neuroscientist, Brenda Milner, and the recipient of the Young Alumna Award is rower and Cambridge University student, Bronya Sykes. Both winners embody all the qualities that the award represents. During the course of the shortlisting process it was decided that we would introduce a third award, the Rose Acton Ad Lucem Award.

The Design Technology Department commissioned our pupils to design trophies which makes these awards even more special. So much thought, care and ingenuity was put into this work and it was incredibly hard to select the winners. Congratulations to Camille and Aleeza, Year 9 and Mimi from Year 10 who have designed this year’s trophies. The awards are in the process of being made and will be presented at our Founders’ Day celebration next March.
