In memory of Catherine Ositelu

It is with deep sadness that we inform our wider school community that Mrs Catherine Ositelu, who taught French at Withington Girls’ School for many years, has died after a long illness. Our thoughts are with her family at this very difficult time.

Apart from her role as a highly accomplished teacher of French at Withington, Mrs Ositelu was part of school life in so many other ways too, not least through her outstanding care for pupils in her role as Form Tutor, her exceptional leadership of Young Enterprise, and her inspirational mosaic and glasswork.

Mrs Ositelu will be very much missed and will be remembered with great respect and affection by generations of Withington pupils, their parents, and by Withington staff, present and past.

Over the coming weeks and months we will remember and celebrate together Mrs Ositelu’s outstanding contribution to our school community.

If you have any tributes or memories of Mrs Ositelu that you would like to share, please email these to rememberingmadameositelu@wgs.org
