Junior ‘Time Trip’ to Ordsall Hall
On Tuesday 22nd November and Wednesday 23rd November each Lower II class travelled back in time to Tudor times on the annual trip to Ordsall Hall.
The girls were greeted a rich Tudor lady and her maid. The two women took each class on an adventure through the old rooms of the Hall and we even spent some time in the garden!
The girls were fascinated and learned how to set the table for a Tudor feast, how the rich Tudors slept, took part in completing the duties of a maid and found out about crime and punishment in Tudor times! The day ended with each pupil getting to wear Tudor clothing and learning a dance to scare away the rats!
As always, this trip was enjoyed by all the girls and teachers. We all learned something new and will enjoy finding out more about the Tudors in the coming months!
