On 22nd April 2010, Professor F K Loebinger, Leader of the Manchester team working on the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN will be visiting School to lecture on the topic of Particle Physics: Past, Present and Future.  The lecture, organised by Dr Francisca Wheeler (former WGS staff member), is due to take place in the School's Art Centre, commencing at 5pm, and all Alumnae are warmly invited to attend. 

Professor Loebinger will give an overview of the basic building blocks which make up the Universe, discuss the promise of the Large Hadron Collider, and suggest some pointers to the future, and his lecture promises to be a fascinating and engaging journey into the world of Particle Physics.
