Thank you for considering remembering Withington in your Will. By doing so, you will be transforming the life of a young woman with potential by offering her the opportunity to shine through the gift of a Withington education.
Did you know that we are a registered charity and gifts to Withington can be made free of inheritance tax?
We know that taking care of those you love must be your first priority and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Once you have provided for them, leaving a gift in your Will to Withington, however big or small, will have a profound impact.
Our immediate aim is to increase our bursary provision from one in six Senior School students to one in five. This means providing funding for an additional 10 to 12 bursaries. Longer term, our aim remains to achieve a ‘needs-blind’ admissions policy. By leaving a gift in your Will now, you will be part of making this goal a reality.
You can view full information here or contact Lesley Dowdall, Director of Development on 0161 249 3491 or development@wgs.org for a confidential conversation or to request a printed copy.
If you leave a gift in your Will to Withington, you will become a member of the Emily Simon Society.
Emily was one of the Founders of Withington Girls’ School and was a strong supporter of educating women and of WGS throughout her lifetime. She gifted the playing fields to the school in 1920.
Three of Withington’s previous Headmistresses are currently patrons of the society which bears her name. You will be invited to attend an annual private lunch at the school which provides an opportunity to enjoy the company of like-minded supporters of Withington, to hear about the school’s latest developments, and to meet current pupils and staff.
