An annual one-week trip to The Gambia has been offered to Upper Sixth girls since 2004. Through kind donations from parents, outside sponsorship and the fundraising efforts of the 12 girls involved each year, we have so far built two nursery schools, a borehole and a women’s Literacy Centre. In addition we take donations of clothes and bedding to a clinic for malnourished babies. Much more information can be found in the WithGambia section of this website
The girls who go on the trip paint and decorate the building constructed over the year, and also teach children and adults in small groups.
