Careers Guidance

The Ethos of our Careers Department is, ‘At WGS we know each person as an individual, and our main strategic aim is to tailor our support to the needs of that individual, taking into account their aspirations, goals and values. We are informed by the latest guidance, but our focus is on the personalisation of these guidelines to each student and their individual requirements.’

WGS provides a stable, embedded careers programme for all students, compliant with the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks outlined in the “Good Career Guidance” report and informed by the latest guidance from the Career Development Institute (CDI).

  3. Addressing the needs of each pupil
  4. Linking curriculum learning to careers
  5. Encounters with employers and employees
