Withington Girls’ School is delighted to announce that it has been named a finalist in the Independent Girls’ School of the Year category of the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2025.
The start of a new academic year always brings a special energy to the school, and this year that excitement has been amplified by the news of this national recognition. Withington is one of just five schools across the UK to be shortlisted in this category, and proudly represents independent schools in the North of England.
The other finalists include North London Collegiate School (London), Channing School (London), St Helen and St Katharine (Abingdon) and Leicester High School for Girls.
This achievement reflects the dedication, talent and spirit of the entire Withington community — pupils, staff, and families alike. While winning the award would be a tremendous honour, being selected as a finalist from a highly competitive shortlist is already a moment of pride and celebration.
The winners of the Independent Schools of the Year Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on 14th October 2025.
