Miss Marjorie Hulme, former Headmistress of Withington, died earlier this year at the age of 101.
Our memorial event will be taking place here at school on Thursday 10th October 2024 and we hope that you will be able to join us. The event is free of charge but there is the opportunity when you register to donate to the Marjorie Hulme Bursary Fund in Miss Hulme’s memory, if you would like to do so.
Miss Hulme was Headmistress for 24 years from 1961 until 1985 and during that time, the school continued to flourish thanks to Miss Hulme’s wisdom, inspiring leadership, and unwavering dedication to her pupils and staff.
As well as overseeing major building projects and establishing our bursary programme, Miss Hulme helped to make Withington the place of outstanding learning and empowering community it is today. We hope that you will be able to join us at a memorial event to celebrate Miss Hulme’s life and her remarkable achievements.
