On Monday 10th March, the Hub was abuzz with discussions on Richard III, the Post Office Scandal, football ownership, artificial nanoplastics and flying cars. These are just some of the wide-ranging topics explored by
Year 12 students as part of their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
They each did a fantastic job of presenting their research and sharing their insights with other students and staff.
The EPQ is a research project that leads to a qualification that is equivalent to half an A Level. It involves roughly 120 hours work, with 30 hours of taught skills and at least 90 hours of independent work. The qualification develops key skills that students will need at university or in the work place – timekeeping, self discipline, research skills and project management.
