Spotcast On
Welcome to our monthly podcast for the Withington community where we chat to an alumna about their life and career post-Withington. We’ll be finding out a bit more about the paths they have chosen; the highs and lows, how Withington has influenced them as they have moved forward, and what they have learned along the way. We also hope it will inspire our alumnae and our current Withington students who are about to take their next steps.
This month we welcome Louise Maynard-Atem (Class of 2004) as the guest in our latest Spotcast On. Louise completed her PhD in materials chemistry in 2013 at the University of Manchester. She then worked in the Civil Service before setting up the Futures Innovation Team at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence and subsequently, the data innovation team at Experian. She is now at GB Group. Louise was included in the ‘We are the City Rising Star’ list for 2019 and is part of the Twenty in Data & Technology 2019. She is also the Research Lead for the organisation Women in Identity. Louise is in conversation with Sixth Former, Amy, who is an Arkwright Scholar 2020 and a member of the current Withington Head Girl Team.
