Let us show you a place where girls shine
The Sunday Times ‘Northwest Independent Secondary School of the Decade’
We welcome girls from age 7 (Year 3) through to Sixth Form. During her Withington journey, your daughter will be supported in every way to fulfil her aspirations and shine in a productive, collaborative and happy environment.
Register your interest in a place for your daughter and visit us at one of our open events in the Autumn Term to discover more about a Withington education and uncover what makes us special.
A glimpse at life at Withington
We’re frequently asked what a typical Withington girl is like but there really is no one type – our girls may be extrovert, reserved, sporty, musical, creative, analytical, and often many of these. What is characteristic of all our pupils is their enjoyment of learning, an ethos upon which Withington Girls’ School was founded in 1890. Our pupils aspire to be the best that they can be and play a full part in their learning and this extends beyond the classroom to their engagement in extra-curricular activities too.
Hear from our pupils
Withington offers an innovative and inspiring place of learning, supported by a diverse, inclusive and open-minded school community. Your daughter’s personal development and character would be nurtured in an environment that promotes mutual respect and personal responsibility. Here’s what our pupils say:
