Past Papers For Year 7 (Third Form) Entry
Below are links to the English and Mathematics past papers for the last nine years. Please note that the format of the entrance examination changed in 2022, with one paper each in Mathematics and English instead of two. The entrance examination also includes a verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning paper (past papers are not available for these).
The past papers help candidates to be familiar with the layout, structure and level of difficulty of the English and Mathematics papers. It’s also helpful to practise timing when going through the papers.
It is reassuring to girls if they know what to expect, but do not try to prepare ‘model answers’. We do not penalise wrong answers so candidates are encouraged to have a go, even when they are unsure.
Candidates should not worry if they cannot finish all the questions. The papers are set and marked with the aim of discovering potential, not merely what has been taught. We are trying to discover how candidates think and therefore do not provide answers for any of the papers.
