Open Days and Visits
There are few things more important than choosing the right school for your child. The special atmosphere at Withington Girls’ School encourages and extends each girl not just academically but in every area of her life. We invite you to come and visit us and see for yourself all that Withington has to offer. Chair of Governors, Mrs Elisabeth Lee
There are two ways to visit Withington, either at an Open Day or by arranging an individual visit.
Dates for 2017/18 Open Events and Entrance Examinations will be published following the Manchester Consortium meeting in May 2017. Individual visits are welcomed and can be arranged by contacting the Registrar.
Meanwhile, to get a flavour of a Withington Open Day, please do view our video below.
Prospective parents and pupils are warmly invited to request a visit during the school day or just after School has finished. Please call the Registrar, Mrs Louise Jefferies [email@example.com or 0161 224 1077 ] to make arrangements.
Tours are normally carried out by one of our Sixth Form pupils and you will also be able to meet a Senior member of staff. The tours provide an opportunity for prospective parents and their daughter to gain a real insight into life at Withington from the pupil’s perspective.
The main entry points to Withington are Year 3, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 12 with some availability of spaces in other Years.
We were delighted that our 2016 A-level results confirmed WGS as the best in the North West of England and that the vast majority of our 2016 leavers went on to study the subject of their choice at the university of their choice.
If you would like to arrange to visit the School, please contact our Registrar, Mrs Louise Jefferies, on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0161 224 1077
