A New Food Vision at Withington
Withington Girls’ School is committed to excellence and innovation in all areas, and since September 2019 our catering provision has been managed by specialist contract catering company, Holroyd Howe.
Holroyd Howe is a market leader in working with schools, with all members of the team taking pride in sourcing the finest British produce from local farmers, growers and artisan suppliers in order to produce delicious, freshly prepared food. The company champions the importance of providing children with nutritious food, which is central to their healthy growth.
Holroyd Howe is committed to using the best British ingredients, nothing processed, nothing added, just honest, delicious, great food every day. They buy from regional and local suppliers and are passionate about supporting British farmers and producers.
Holroyd Howe runs a sustainability campaign at Withington to encourage pupils to eat sustainable choices and reduce waste, for example ‘Meat Free Mondays’ have been a very popular addition to the menus at Withington.
All food prepared at Withington Girls’ School is prepared in a kitchen where gluten and other allergens are present, and our menu descriptions do not include all ingredients. Those with food allergies should inform Catering staff before making food choices. Full allergen information is available upon request. (EU Reg. 1169/2011)
