Our Facilities

‘While not being in the least bit brash, the school has everything it needs in the right proportions and in sparkling condition.’

The Good Schools Guide

From state-of-the-art science labs to well-equipped art studios, we have all the facilities you would expect at a top school – and some that you wouldn’t!

Junior School

Our Junior School’s purpose-built building is directly linked to the Senior School. It has its own Assembly Hall, Library and changing rooms and all year groups have their own classrooms with individual desks to store their belongings. And, of course, our Junior pupils get to enjoy the rest of the school’s facilities too.

Sports facilities

We have fantastic sports facilities; a large, modern sports hall, dance/yoga studio, state of the art fitness suite, gym, floodlit all-weather pitch and grass playing fields.

It’s no wonder our pupils have won several national championships.

Performing Arts

The Arts Centre is our main performance and assembly space. Pupils also benefit from a drama studio and a music hub with a large central rehearsal space and five practice rooms used for individual music lessons. We also have our own soundproof percussion pod and two dedicated teaching spaces for LAMDA lessons.

Learning spaces

We are very well-resourced for teaching spaces with science labs for all three sciences. Our Design Technology classroom supports teaching up to GCSE level and our Food & Nutrition areas are all newly refurbished. We also have a language lab and our well-resourced library and quiet study area provide for quiet study and reading.

Hub

Our Hub is a wonderfully bright space used for many different activities including exhibitions, table tennis, events and parents’ evenings. It also provides a great space for relaxation and chatting with friends at break and lunchtime, especially in bad weather.

Sixth Form

The common room is a firm feature of Sixth Form where many friendships are formed and cemented. Other facilities include a Sixth Form bistro, dedicated teaching spaces, and a lecture theatre to ready our pupils for university education.

Outdoor spaces

Our outdoor health and wellbeing area supports pupils in leading healthy, happy lives. Learning also takes place in our purpose-built outdoor classroom and we have our own pond where pupils can study the natural world.
