The Ruth Bayley Illustration Competition was set up in memory of WGS alumna Ruth Bayley, a successful illustrator of many children’s books. Each year, Withington pupils are set a theme which this year was ‘labels’.

Illustrator and comic maker, Emmeline Pidgen, is our guest judge and she will choose the overall winners from the shortlist selected by the Art Department. The winners will be announced in the final assembly of the term. Until then, we will share the shortlisted entries by year group.

The competition continues to be generously supported by the executors of her will to whom we remain very grateful.
