Juniors Celebrate International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and it provided an excellent focus for our first day back after not being in the School building since before Christmas.
The campaign theme this year was Choose to Challenge. As a girls’ school, we feel it is very important to mark this day and, this year, we did so by thinking about how a challenged world is an alert world and how we are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions.
As a school, we celebrated women’s achievements by researching our favourite female historical figures and thinking about why we admire them and how their achievements have challenged or made a difference.
