We were very sad to announce that Monica Hastings, former Withington pupil (Class of 1964) & teacher (retired 2006), had passed away following a short illness. Our thoughts are still very much with her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held for her at 3pm on Saturday 5th October at St. Martin’s Parish Church, Marple Bridge, Marple, SK6 5DT.

The family request that flowers are not sent but that donations can be made to Macmillan Cancer Support & Cancer Research UK, if anyone wishes to do so.

We will be paying a full tribute to Monica and her contribution to the life of the school following the memorial service and also in this year’s edition of Withington Onwards.
