London After Hours Reunion

Thank you to the Alumnae who joined the Development Team at the Balls Brothers, Hay’s Galleria on Wednesday 12th October.

It was a lovely evening, as Old Girls ranging from the Class of 2004 to 2012 gathered to catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances from amongst the Withington community. Alumnae working in a variety of industries including advertising, business, law, finance and teaching discussed their careers and their lives in London over wine and nibbles, and later shared amusing tales from their time at Withington. No matter which year they leave School, we find that our Old Girl’s memories of Withington are always similar, with particularly fond recollections of the Fashion Show, Physics Lessons and School trips.

The Development Team shared some news from Withington during the evening, including an update on the new Headmistress, Sarah Haslam. We also informed guests about how they could get involved with volunteering and career guidance opportunities at the School and showed them photos of the building developments which have taken place since they left, including the new Hub.

We had a fantastic evening in a great venue, which provided an atmospheric, interesting and comfortable setting for this informal networking reunion. We would like to organise more Alumnae reunions in London and found that Hays Galleria was in the perfect location by London Bridge Tube Station, especially for our Old Girls working in the city. However, if you have any alternative suggestions as to where we could host our next London event please don’t hesitate to contact us with your ideas, we would love to hear them. We hope to be able to welcome you to a Withington Alumnae Reunion soon. Make sure to keep your eye on our events page to find out when the next one will be!
