Year 6 Visit Crucial Crew

On Monday 19th September, all the girls in Upper II went over to Manchester Army Reserve as part of their PSHCE curriculum to learn about safety.  Different associations came together to creatively educate our girls. They were split into four groups and had 15 minute interactive slots delivered by: Travel Safe, The Transport Police, Greater Manchester Police, St Johns Ambulance and Eclipse.

Activities included an obstacle course where everyone had to put on goggles that simulated ‘distorted vision’ and the girls practised first aid. The ‘ghost story’ box provided by the Transport Police had a real impact, and the girls came away with a greater awareness of the risks around us and how to deal with crisis situations.
