Harvest Festival Assembly

As part of the Harvest Festival Assembly yesterday, the girls were visited by Amy Hinks from the Booth Centre, a Manchester charity for the homeless which Withington has supported for many years.

The Booth Centre is a place homeless people can visit to eat breakfast or lunch (the Booth Centre provides over  700 meals a week to Manchester’s homeless), have a shower, pick up essential toiletries, socialise, learn new skills and talk to trained volunteers and staff.

The gifts were taken straight to the Booth Centre by Mr Morris in the School minibus; the School and the Booth Centre would like to thank WGS parents and pupils for their generous donations.
