Greek Restaurant Visit
On Tuesday 21st June, Form I set off on a visit to Kosmos Taverna in Withington. As we have been studying Ancient Greece in History, we thought that sampling some traditional Greek dishes might help us with our research!
We decided to dress up as Ancient Greeks for the visit. When we arrived at the restaurant, Loulla, the owner, made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed trying many different traditional Greek dishes. We sampled houmous and tzatziki with pitta breads, meatballs, Spanakotyropitakia (feta and spinach parcels) and Souvlaki (a chicken dish). To finish off, Loulla had baked Samali, a traditional semolina cake, which was absolutely delicious. Our thanks go to Loulla and her team at Kosmos Taverna for such an enjoyable and tasty trip!
