Manchester Cathedral Visit

Here is Mrs Stallard’s account on Form I’s trip to Manchester Cathedral:

On 26th April, Form I visited Manchester Cathedral to learn about the building as a place of worship. We investigated the beautiful stained glass windows and discovered the story each one tells. We also learnt a great deal about the history of the building and about its many uses today.

We very much enjoyed exploring a collection of church vestments and we discovered the symbolism behind their colours and the time of year each colour is worn.We loved taking part in a choir workshop and we entertained some members of the public with our choral singing! We were very interested to discover the amazing carvings around the choir seats, each one depicting fantastic mythical creatures.
