Barnardo’s Penny Race

The Barnardo’s Penny Race was a huge success this year as the girls of the Junior School were able to raise an impressive £329! Girls collected coins for weeks and were finally able to bring them into school on Thursday to take part in the eagerly anticipated race.

Within their houses, the girls placed their change around the Junior School Hall to form two long lines of coins. The lines were then measured and the coins were counted by the girls of Lower IIX.

At the end of the day, Miss Dillon was happy to reveal that Hunter had the longest line yet Williams had the line of greatest value! A fantastic result all round!
