On World Book Day 2016, we posted on the Withington Onwards Facebook Group asking our Alumnae to tell us their favourite book from their time at School. From this post, it came to light just how many of our Old Girls were inspired by the famous reading lists of Miss Marie Green, former Head of English at Withington.

Miss Green has kindly agreed to compose another reading list to be enjoyed by the Withington Community, and so we present to you the 2016 Alumnae Reading Challenge in support of the WGS Bursary Fund!

The aim?

Read the 25 books on Miss Green’s list by Christmas 2016. The list is available to download from our website at a cost of £5, and all proceeds will go to the School’s Bursary Fund.

You can register for the challenge here. Once you’ve completed our online registration process, you’ll find the booklist on the confirmation page. Don’t forget to print the list off so that you have a copy to refer to throughout the challenge! If you should need a replacement for any reason, please email development@wgs.org

So whether you’re already a keen reader, or always feel that you should try and read more, now’s your chance to get involved in our Alumnae challenge and read for a great cause!
