The WGS view of the March 2015 Solar Eclipse
On Friday the 20th March, we assembled to witness the 2015 Solar Eclipse with 90% coverage – a once in a lifetime phenomenon. Armed with pinhole cameras of various sizes, colanders, cereal boxes and more inventive viewing techniques, we watched with awe as the moon crossed the path of the sun in a remarkable astronomical event. From juniors to sixth form and staff, everyone came together to experience the excitement of the eclipse, particularly at peak coverage. Coinciding with the Spring Equinox and a Supermoon, this made the occasion even more spectacular!
