The Juniors welcomed a representative from Barnardo`s into our assembly. She told us an inspirational story of a girl who had nothing. Then Barnardo`s stepped in and changed her life around. She said that this is what they do for hundreds of other children.

She told us how we could help, by collecting spare change and putting it in a yellow, plastic box. Mrs Burrows showed us the old-style collection box which looked like one of the homes that Dr Barnardo built for homeless children.

At the end of the term we are going to do a Barnardo`s bear raffle and a penny race, which we are all looking forward to.
