Juniors had a busy term in the sporting arena, taking part in rounders, tennis and athletics matches against other schools. Within School, there was the inter-house competition with the two Junior Houses, Hunter and Williams, battling it out in the swimming pool and in track and field.

On 23rd May, the Junior School rounders Team went to the AJIS tournament, hosted by Stockport Grammar School. The matches against AKS, Birkenhead School and Stockport were very close, with one win and two losses by just half of one rounder. But the team from King`s, Macclesfield were very strong batters and rightly made it to the final. A great day was had by all with all participants thoroughly enjoying a day of friendly competition.

The Junior School Gala was held at Manchester High School for Girls on Tuesday 25th June. All girls took part in a range of events including one-length races, the candle race and the penny dive, with Williams taking the honours.
Sports Day followed on 1st July and the Juniors were fortunate to have a sunny afternoon at Longford Park after the Seniors had competed under leaden skies in the morning. All girls performed amazingly, running and jumping with great commitment and enthusiasm. Williams House won the overall trophy.
