Former Staff Tea Party 2013

The Former Staff Tea Party is a friendly and nostalgic event held at Withington Girls’ School. The school regularly holds a reunion for former teachers and staff at the school. Despite the summer rain, the tea party was well attended, including former Headmistress, Miss Marjorie Hulme. Miss Hulme who had only recently attended her 90th birthday reunion at the School on 16th March was again delighted for another opportunity to come back and talk to old friends. The occasion provided a great opportunity for staff to talk informally with their predecessors and successors. In attendance, there were three generations of music department staff, including Chris Holmes, Alison Bailey and current Director of Music, Gilly Sargent. Gilly was also preparing the Juniors for the evening’s exciting annual Strawberry Serenade. Many guests finished their social occasion with the delightful serenade.
