Junior Young Enterprise

After the entrance examinations in Upper II, we were all looking forward to our Junior Enterprise experience. The thought of working with a group, making products and selling was really exciting- but we found out that it was hard work too.

We were split into groups of five, each having a different role, with people who we didn't usually work with, but we had to put everything aside and gel as a team. We decided on a name, sold shares and bought our products with a budget of £40.

The products arrived and each group started to personalise and decorate them and think about advertising. After weeks of activity, on Thursday, June 13th we sold the products to the rest of the Junior School. We spent time thinking about how to display the products and customer incentives… sweets! It was an amazing frenzy of buying and selling and the money we raised was divided between the charities Water Aid and Make A Wish. Junior Enterprise was a lot of fun and we allreally enjoyed it and learnt loads about the highs and lows of running a business.
