Veterinary Talk

Learning about being a vet

Thank you to Mrs Batham for giving up her time to talk to the Juniors about being a vet. Part of a series of talks where parents of Junior girls have come in to talk about their work, Mrs Batham spoke about all the different types of jobs that vets do – and all the joys and sadnesses. She told the Juniors in Assembly that she had wanted to be a vet from the age of eight and that, from then on, she worked hard and committed herself to looking after, and learning about, animals.

Meeting Kelloggs the cornsnake

She answered many questions and showed the girls a cornsnake, named Kelloggs! Thank you, too, to Katie who assisted with Mrs Batham's presentation.

Many other parents have given up their time
to talk to the Juniors about their professions and to answer the many questions
posed by the inquisitive girls.  Thank you too, to the girls who
ably assisted and advised their respective parents throughout the
presentations.
