Religious Studies Fieldtrip

On 24th April, Form I travelled into the centre of Manchester to visit two neighbouring but very different places of worship. We spent the morning at Manchester Cathedral, where we learnt about the building as a place of peace. We also found out lots of information about the history of Manchester Cathedral and its architecture.

After lunch, we walked to Manchester Buddhist Centre where we visited the Shrine Room and discovered how Buddhists worship. It was very interesting to compare and contrast these two special places and we all felt that we had learnt a great deal from our day out.
