Alumna Camilla’s Charity Hitchhike
Alumna Camilla Henfrey (2010 leaver) will be on the road in the new year when she takes part in a Charity Hitchhike from St Andrews to Barcelona.
This annual event is organised by the University of St Andrews Charity Campaign. Each year, a different destination is chosen to which participants must make their way as soon as possible using a variety of transport methods, without paying a penny for their journey. All monies raised will be divided between six very worthwhile causes: McMillan Cancer Support, RNLI, Cancer Research, Medecins Sans Frontiers, Maggie's Cander Caring Centres and CHAS; Camilla aims to raise £500 for her part in the challenge.
The group of around 50 students will leave St Andrews on the Monday 23rd January once the university exam period has finished, and hope to arrive in Barcelona by Friday 27th January. Elvis, Minnie Mouse, Supermario and Mr Incredible will all be helping the group along their way, as they don fancy dress to add to the fun!
If you would like to support Camilla, please visit her Just Giving page. We wish Camilla the very best of luck with her challenge, and look forward to hearing all about her trip upon her return.
