Ghyll Head Weekends
The Third Form visited the Ghyll Head Outdoor Education Centre over two weekends during the first weeks of the new academic year. The action-packed weekends included ghyll scrambling, climbing at Humphrey Head, flying on the zip wire and canoeing in Lake Windermere. Most girls took the chance to jump into the lake fully clothed!
These weekends are an essential element in enabling girls new to the School to get to know one another, their Form Tutors and Sixth Form Peer Supporters in an informal setting. Spending time together in the residential centre and learning to trust and support each other whilst taking on the physical and mental challenges set by the Ghyll Head staff soon broke the ice and much fun was had by all.
