First ‘Withington After Hours’ a Success

Alumnae enjoying the event

Leavers from the Fifties through to the Noughties joined together to make School's first Withington After Hours event, held on Wednesday 23rd February 2011 at Babble Bar in Mayfair, a great success.

The event offered former pupils the opportunity to chat with old friends [and to make new ones!] over drinks and nibbles, and was timed to fit in with the busy work schedules of our London-based Alumnae.  Over the course of the evening, over twenty five ladies gathered together to share their news and to laugh over their memories of their time at Withington.  Many commented that the informal format was something they had thoroughly [and in some cases, unexpectedly!] enjoyed, and that they were already looking forward to the next event.

On the evening, the lively atmosphere of the bar combined with the lively conversations of our guests to ensure that guests headed off into the evening smiling happily, and future After Hours events are already being planned to build on this success.  If you would like to help plan this or any other future Alumnae events – perhaps you know of an interesting venue or have a group of friends who would like to meet up – then please do contact the Development Office
