Government League Tables

At Withington in 2010, all girls sat and passed the challenging IGCSE Mathematics examinations however, this qualification was not counted in the compilation of the latest tables indicating ‘5 A* to C grade passes including English and Mathematics’ nor in the new ‘English Baccalaureate’ statistics. Hence Withington is misleadingly reported in some newspapers as having 0% of its students achieving either of these standards. In reality, Withington girls’ academic achievements in 2010 again placed WGS amongst the top schools in the country.
