Alumna Sarah Burton (née Heard, 1993 leaver) was being celebrated by the fashion world yesterday, as she unveiled her first collection as Creative Director of Alexander McQueen at Paris Fashion Week. 

Sarah, who studied at St Martin's School of Art after leaving Withington, was promoted to the post following the death earlier this year of the designer, and her first collection was greeted with delight by fashion editors.  For the full story, along with photographs of Sarah's first collection, click here.
