Calling all Alumnae WWII Evacuees

Were you one of the Withington pupils evacuated to Staffordshire during the Second World War?

Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Archive Service, in partnership with Staffordshire Arts and Museums, have launched an oral history project called Children on the Move, which is an effort to create a lasting record of evacuation in Staffordshire. They would love to hear from any former pupils of Withington who were wartime evacuees, and to record their memories and reminiscences of that time.  All contributions will eventually become part of the county's archive.

If you would like to contribute to this project, please complete the ‘testimony form' and return to Tom Pine Coffin, the lead Project Officer. Please do also send a copy of your form in to the Development Office at School, as we would love to create a record of memories from this time.
