Junior School girls were selected by Clementine Publishers to act as 'taste-testers' for a new children's title that is due to be published in October. The author, Adam Perrott, and his editor, Victoria Connor, gave a fascinating presentation on how a book is written, edited and finally published. The girls of Upper II and Lower II soon became aware that it is a very long process!

However, the highlight of the visit was a reading of the new book's opening chapter by the author himself. The girls were then invited to give open and honest feedback to Adam and Victoria, and then Adam kindly took questions from the room of budding authors!

The Publishers were delighted with the way the day went and hope to come back for an exclusive book launch, before the countrywide release date in the autumn – watch this space!
