Bursary Fund Afternoon Tea Party
On Wednesday 13th May Junior girls were joined by their parents at the end of school for afternoon tea and cake. As well as being an occasion for parents of Junior girls to get together, the event also raised over £400 for the Bursary Appeal.
Head of the Junior School, Mrs Kathryn Burrows said: "What a delightful social occasion! Good company, lots of chat and delicious food. Thanks go to Mrs Cartledge and the kitchen staff for providing such a wonderful array of cakes and treats."
The 100+ Bursary Appeal aims to raise £2 million which will enable over 100 girls to attend Withington on a means-tested Bursary place. Already there are 98 girls who attend school on a Bursary place. Clare Flynn, Development Director, commented: "It was lovely to see all the parents and girls who came to the Bursary Tea Party."
