School history lives on at Alumnae Reunion in Bath

Thursday 26th March saw over 40 former pupils gather for afternoon tea followed by a luxurious dinner prepared especially for the Withington Alumnae event at Sally Lunn’s, Bath’s oldest house and home of the famous Sally Lunn bun.

Clare Flynn, Development Director and former pupil said “It was lovely to see so many of our Alumnae there.  It marked my introduction to our Alumnae and I could not have wished for a lovelier occasion.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the ladies and their husbands too!  We all share something very important in common through Withington and it was lovely to talk about our experiences”
Janet Pickering, Headmistress, welcomed the 40 plus ‘old girls’ declaring how meeting Alumnae was one of her favourite things to do as Headmistress.

Attendees gathered from far and wide, with some travelling from overseas to spend time with their classmates. Years represented ranged from the 1940s to 2000, marking 60 years of Withington Leavers and the continuation of a thriving school history.
