French Exchange 2009

Eighteen girls and two members of staff spent an enriching and rewarding week in the North of France on the first leg of our annual French Exchange. The girls practised their French, sampled the local delicacies, went sand yachting on a Dunkirk beach, tried to see the local views through the mist, and were impressed with the host school’s technical workshops.

There were also visits to Lille, Ypres and the moving ‘In Flanders Field Museum.‘

Then, on 5th March, we were very pleased to welcome our counterparts from Lycée des Flandres. They enjoyed local visits to, among other places, Old Trafford, Tatton Park, the city of Chester and the Manchester Museum.
