Electric Lego City

In the final week of term the girls in the Junior School transformed the Junior Resource Room into Electric Lego City for a day.

Split into two workshop groups, the girls were taught the basics of construction and electric connection and then given free rein to build the city to their own design.

The girls were creative and innovative, building everything from ordinary townhouses to mansions with roof-top swimming pools. They also built universities, parks with ducks, a yacht and even a stadium that resembled Old Trafford! The girls also experimented with LEDs to bring light to their creations.

The workshops enabled pupils to exercise their imaginations whilst drawing on a wide range of subjects, from art and design to science and technology. The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are keen to welcome the city back to Withington in the future.
