Careers Convention
Girls from the Lower Fifth to the Upper Sixth and their parents turned out in force for the School's Careers Convention at which around 70 delegates from leading professional and commercial organisations gave presentations and expert advice.
Professions ranging from accountancy to law, medicine to chemical engineering and finance and management to politics were represented on stands set up in the dining room, Arts Centre and Junior Resources Centre.
In addition presentations on careers including dentistry, veterinary science, medicine, law, advertising, design and industry were repeated in nearby rooms.
Head of Careers, Mrs Pauline Gavan said: "We would like to extend our thanks to all the delegates busy professionals who gave their time and expertise freely. The girls found the convention really worthwhile in shaping their thoughts for the future."
