Withington Week

May 11 – May 17

‘Withington Week’ (Monday 11th – Sunday 17th May 2015) is all about Alumnae meeting up with one another to socialise whilst raising money for the Enhancing Opportunities projects.

We invite our ‘Old Girls’ to get creative with organising fun events across the country in aid of the projects and bursaries that the Annual Fund supports. The event can be for other WGS Old Girls or for your friends and family.

The projects we’re fundraising for this year are:

These projects are chosen to significantly enhance the learning opportunities which Withington provides.

The possibilities for your event are endless – why not hold a clothes swap event, a cocktail evening or even (weather permitting) a picnic? Depending on what type of event you’re planning, you could host it in your home, or at a local bar, or park. It could be a private event, open to your circle of friends or year group only, or an open event, at which all Alumnae are welcome. The date and timing of your event are also important – would your event attract more guests during the daytime, in the evening after work, or at the weekend? The choice is yours!

We have a fundraising pack to give you a better idea of the projects we’re raising money for, and how to go about organising your event and collecting donations. The Development Office would love to know of any ideas you have, and we’d be very happy to support you! Please get in touch with as at development@wgs.org or on 0161 249 3494, and we can post you a pack.
